Title: Some thoughts on the OBS
Post by: joerom on August 02, 2009, 10:54:22 AM
Hello everyone,I was just loading my OBS this morning to make some spare ribs this time, and some things went through my mind. This thing is so easy to use, that I don't know why I waited so long to get into smoking.I was worried about having to learn how to smoke, and thought it would be a major learning curve. Then,I wondered what I would do with all the food when I made it,because I thought you would have to fill a big smoker.I also worried about having to watch the smoker all the time to keep it at proper temp and smoke, and feeding wood all day.As you can see,I am a novice, but I feel comfortable already with this thing. The nice part is I can make one rack of ribs, and it is no big deal, and that is what I am doing today. So,any of you who are still thinking about smoking,go ahead and do it,and start enjoying some really good hassle free food.
