Title: Quakes........WARNING

Warning:  I am not responsible for your condition the morning after. [;)]

This is a drink recipe for a Quake given to me by my sister.  Apparently invented by a local bartender after the big earthquake here a few years back.  Although I'm mostly a beer man, especially w/ smoked food, these things are damn good.  A couple suggestions to go with this recipe:
-Take the time to squeeze fresh lime/lemon juice and not use artificial crap or from concentrate.
-Use fresh mint.

Quake Base  (enough for about a dozen drinks or so)
1 1/2 cups simple syrup (equal parts water&sugar boiled to dissolve sugar)
1 cup fresh lime juice
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
4 shots cranberry juice (this adds a bit of taste, but is more for color.)

Now, shake equal parts Quake Base and Smirnoff Raspberry vodka with lots o' ice and a few fresh mint leaves.  You could use Absolut Kurant but it's more expensive and I actually think the Smirnoff Rasberry tastes better in these.
I like to muddle the fresh mint a little to break it up and release the flavor.  You can throw a leaf in to garnish the drink too if you want to be an extra-fancy cool cat.
Serve 'up' strained into a Martini style glass.
3 shots of each (QB and Vodka) will make 2 good size drinks.  That's it!
