OK FOLKS, [?] What do you think is the best electric MEAT GRINDER for under $250 and it must have 3 ( fine, med & coarse) grinder plates.. I know this sounds stupid but I'm in the market for a new one and would prefer an all metal guts. I trust all you sausage makers have a personal preference.. Would like to have a comparison.. Bill
I like the looks of the one Raye Minor just ordered.

Here are a couple more grinders that pretty much fit your specs. I have the top one and it works great. I do wish that I would have spent another 100 and bought one with a #22 neck, though for the money, a nice grinder. This grinder is also built to accept attachments ie: meat mixer. Bill as you know I got credit back on the unit I purchased. Berkel MedWest was very upset and has sold several of these units. In fact they feature it on their main page.
They get them from Edge who is a major supplier of stones and knives. I don't think I want to be the Edge Rep come Monday morning seeing how Berkel purchased 25 of these unit from them. They were also feature in their trade show. Edge is the one who set the selling price.
Berkel saw the unit you purchased and flat out said that is the same unit~~~!

Bill,
I have the 1/3 HP grinder from Cabelas,Has plenty of power for grinding, But I don't like it for stuffing. I use a different stuffer. If I had to do it over I would get the next size up just for the speed. We usually grind 50-100lbs at one time.
