Title: Fresh Ham
Post by: NePaSmoKer on November 24, 2009, 03:31:39 PM
My wife was at the store today. She calls me and askes if i want a ham. Sure.

She didnt tell me it was a fresh one   :o  $1.29 a lb. This ham is 18.26 pounds. She went back to get the other 3 and they were gone.

I'm not sure if that was good news or bad news.  ;D

I've simply roasted one before and it came out like, well, roasted pork.  If I had the ingredients, which I don't, I'd probably try a cure with injection to see if I could turn it into a 'proper' ham.  Then, of course, a good long smoke.

Good luck with it.
