I remember going to the theater, in my coonskin cap, sitting in the front row and running around like a nut during the very first Davey Crockett movie, as if I was helping him!!!

Holy crap, I'm old!!!!  :o

Was not aware that he died. When I am at home on the weekdays, I generally watch Daniel Boone on our local retro channel.

Didn't know he was still alive.  He came to my junior high in So. Cal. when I was in the 7th grade wearing his coonskin cap.

I still have a coonskin topper  ;D

My sister is big into genealogy. 10 years ago when she finished my dads side she found that he was related to the real Daniel Boone. My family tree includes from my moms side the Youngers. My uncles name today is Cole Younger. So i got some history making relatives. My mom says thats where i get my hunting and guns thing from. And at times a little rebelism  ;D..............And i'm stuck in Yankee territory  :D  :D
