Title: Another PC help quesion...
Post by: aces-n-eights on June 01, 2010, 04:08:32 PM
I have a netbook running Win XP.  The screen is "widescreen" and most of the time that is OK.  However, when i display pictures, they are stretched to fit the wide format.  I've played around in Control Panel>Dipslay, but can't figure our how to adjust the display settings.

Any recommendations?  Thanks!

What are you using to display pictures.

I think there is a fit to screen option in the default viewer that you can turn off.

Thanks FLBR, i just click on My Pictures to view my pics.  I don't see a place with fit to screen options.  Should i view them thru another viewer?

I don't have a win 7 unit at home right now, I'll look at the office in the AM.

You can change the display resolution by right clicking on the desktop and clicking on "Screen resolution" from the context menu that appears.
