Title: Carolina Treet in Canada!
Post by: Quarlow on June 03, 2010, 10:00:26 AM
Ok you guys north of the border, are any of you interested in getting some of this awesome sauce if I get some shipped up here? I spoke to them direct today and he is going to send me a quote on it. So it may be expensive and it would be whatever it cost to get it here divided equally per bottle, then whatever it costs to ship it to you. If you are interested let me know and I will work up a price.

Hey Quarlow  I was thinking of ordering some CT from Scotts website Smokeandstuff.  He has 28oz bottles for $4.95 and on CT website there 18oz bottles.
It would be worth it to get a price from Scott as well, once we figure out how many bottles.  I am in for 4 of the 28oz bottles.

Mike

Hey mike, I think that is a typo cause CT only makes 18 and 64 oz. bottles Of the CT sauce and they have 4 pack cases of 17 oz. bottles of the southern CT. I got a price on the 18oz. bottles for two cases. I have asked if the price was U.S. or Can. so once I figure that out I will post it here.

I thought it might be a typo, so I emailed Scott to check, but have not heard back yet.

I cant wait to see how much shipping will be?  I wonder which courier they use?

I know Scott will ship USPS to us, and they are usually the cheapest, plus if he puts a low
declared value it might save on duty :)

The ones from Scott ARE 27.5oz bottles.

Thanks CRG did you order from Scott?

I've gotten the 28oz bottles as well at a WalMart in SC..    Nice thing, they are plastic.  Cheaper to ship.

Personally, I think ordering the 1/2 gal jugs is the cheapest route, but shipping to CA,EH might be killer due to the weight.

[edit]

I see they are not available on CT's website for ordering.  They were before..  Perhaps they are out?

Yes Mike from Scott.

I'd be interested. Never tried it before. Website description sounds good.

Throw some size/cost options out and I'll let you know what I'd be interested in.

Where are you located? I'm in Edmonton/Red Deer, AB.

Ok well I will tell you what I know so far.I am going to phone him again tomorrow but he sent me a price for 2 cases of 18oz. bottles- $138. works out to $5.75 per bottle to me. I have to ask if that was U.S. price or CDN. I didn't see any 28oz. bottles on their website so if I missed something please say so. I will get a price for the 64oz jugs so you have a choice. Oh I am pretty sure those 18oz bottles are plastic.

Q

I'm going to Ft Bragg NC on the 12 thru 18. I can get the larger plastic bottles for $3.75 on base. When i went to the CT factory i bought a case of 1/2 gallons for $36 (if memory serves me)

Would you like me to look around.

Rick if you can come up with something so us canuckleheads can get a source for this stuff we would be glad to get on board with it. Even if I have to get some smaller bottles and split the jugs up here and then send them to the guys. I had an angel from the east coast drop something on my door the other day.
So I am ok for a couple of weeks, but damn the space between the first bottle and the second one is like a crackhead with no money. ;D ;D ;D

Ok

When i get there i will go scout around for the best price on the small, large. The half's i must get from the CT plant.

I have friends in low places in BC. They all have US mailing addresses
across the border with a frequent traveler bringing stuff up. Not sure
about the legalities of food products crossing the border?

We could get some CT shipped there cheap UPS, then once it's in BC
disperse to where ever (Greyhound?).

Well lumpy see what you can comeup with. I don't know if it would be cheaper to ship it to Blaine and then bring it across. My brother has a US mail box but if you aren't down 48hrs it probably isn't much cheaper. So if you know someone who goes down for 48 hrs and returns it maybe a better way to go. I can get the US mail address from my brother and then get a price to there from CT and see what is best.

No problem Capt. S we will get this stuff moving up here oneway or another. I wish I was the kind to peddle this stuff to restaurants and stores, I think it would be a big hit up here.
Title: Re: Carolina Treet in Canada!

Wish they could export it here.  But with the English/French labeling and I'm sure a heck of a duty for crossing the border........... its probably best we just do our best to get it here ourselves.

Title: Re: Carolina Treet in Canada!
Post by: ExpatCanadian on June 04, 2010, 02:54:24 AM

Guys,  I'm trying to think of how I could help here too.  I have a sister who lives in Edmonds, WA and another sister who lives in Vancouver.  My wife's folks live in Vancouver also, and my own parents from Saskatchewan travel to both places at least once a month.  So... I normally have stuff shipped to Edmonds that I can't get anywhere else, and I either collect it myself if I happen to be going, have sister2 bring it to Vancouver when she visits sister1...  have my parents-in-law bring it to the UK (they are over 3-4 times per year) or have my own parents take it to their farm in Saskatchewan for me to collect when I'm there.  It's long winded, but it works...  especially if I'm not in a huge hurry to receive stuff.

At the moment, my only issue is the volume I'd have to bring in to satisfy even the interest in the thread...  and if I could ask (impose really) on my relatives to deal with gallons of the stuff.  If I were going in person, then I'd do it in a heartbeat...  but unfortunately I'm not going to be in Edmonds this summer...  only Saskatchewan.

Darn... let me think this through, maybe there's a way.  Watch this space.

Quarlow...  if somehow my situation can fit in with your own ideas, let me know....

Good thinking Q. I will be in on this one for sure. Let me know if I can help in any way.
I do have a mailing address for our business in Sumas, Wa. Like you said the only problem in getting
a large quantiy across the border and through customs. I will try and find out what the duty
would be on BBQ sauce.

Post by: RossP on June 04, 2010, 03:59:09 PM
Looks like the duty would be 12% HST and an additional 8 -11% duty if I am reading the tarrif guide correctly.
Looks like the tarrif code is either 2103.90 up to 12% or 2103.90.20.00  8%. I will try and get it down a bit better.
Will give them a call next week.

That is why I have an address in Sumas.
I bring everything up myself and do
all the paper work myself.
10 minutes of paperwork saves me
thousands of dollars each year in
brokerage fees.
Title: Re: Carolina Treet in Canada!
Post by: Quarlow on June 04, 2010, 10:48:35 PM
Ok peps this is what I have come up with so far. CT quoted me for 2 cases of 18oz bottles 12 to a case so 24 bottles $138 to my door. Now this is in US price so their exchange is $1.00 US =  $1.0498 CDN which works out to $144.87 for the 2 cases. So that breaks down to $6.03 per bottle to me. Now I don't know if there is additional charges at the border but anything I have ordered from the US that came via USPS/Canada post I have not had to pay additional fees. So as it stands we are at $6.03 per bottle to my house(depending on border charges) plus shipping to you from here. If you know any info as to additional charges, let me know.
Now I will get in touch with (was it Scott's smoke and stuff or was it Y&P) and get a quote from him for to my door. I will also get back to CT and get a price to my Brothers address in blaine and then see what it will cost to bring it across myself.
We also can see what NePaS comes up with and anyone who knows affirmatively costs for cross border just let me know.
This is a mission I am going to follow threw with and the best price is going to be what I go with. It may work out that it will be cheaper to have some shipped here and then some shipped to someone in the east but that is fine. I know one of the Ontario boys will work that end for this. I know it does not cost huge to ship in canada because I shipped a Big Easy to Medicine Hat for like $22. bucks. So a couple of bottles of sauce won't be much. But I will get this going for the canuckleheads with a craving.
Once I get the cheapest way of doing this nailed down I will then get addresses and then find the cost to your doors and we will see who wants what. I can see that I already could bring in the 2 cases and have no problem getting rid of it. And even if everyone bailed on me I would have a years supply of it which I don't have a problem with cause I like it that much.
Now if you guys just want me to order in 1 case so you can try it to see if you like it I can do that right away. Just say so and it is done. I also have a buddy in Ottawa who will do anything I ask of him cause he owes me huge and we have been best friends since we were 6 so I can manipulate him anyway I want considering his entire future was up to my deciding option(long story) but he is my bitch forever. :D :D :D So I have that angle too.

I love it and will take 4-6 for sure, summer is here and I cook outside everyday I can now,

So cousin, you're in the import/export business.  You're being very nice to all these people.  I don't think I want to move to Canada.

I buy it by the two half-gallon jug pack.

Maybe you should get a tanker truck and bring up 10,000 gallons at a time?  Look to your future cuz.

I got a price from Scott for 18's and 28's but I have to confirm if that is US or CDN. Plus he is working on the price for 64's. These prices are to a box in Blaine so he's looking into the price to my door.
12 x 18's - $49.33
12 x 28's - $52.00

And sometime next week we should here from Nepas on his price.
Yeah this is like opening a importing business. :D :D :D I don't mind, I need something to keep me from going stir crazy.

But I know it's all in good fun here.

Well I may have an e-mail fromScott but I still don't have this comp fully running yet. I was away all day today so I didn't get to get my e-mail going. I had to run to Seattle to apply for a security pass for the ports in the USA. These bureaucrats sure know how to come up with reasons for me to pay them another $132.50. $132.50 for them, $50. to renew my FAST card, $25. for a background record check. They are like leaches, and that is just for the US side.  So I will get my e-mail going tomorrow and update this then.

The small bottles i found range from $2.65 to $2.79 ea. Large are $2.89 to $3.00ea depending on what store i go to.. I got an email this morning from Lenwood for a case of 1/2 gallons for $30.

After the smokeout on the 26th i will be back down in NC for a couple months. Only prob is i wont have much time to ship except on saturdays when my DIL is off work, so i dont know if i will be much good for ya'll

Wow!   Lots of $ figures floating around on this thread.  I'm not sure what direction I want to go.

But Q,  I'll stick with my original 4 to 6 28's but If there is a chance to get a price like this for the 1/2 gallon's I would consider changing.

I'm sorry Q.  I'm not trying to confuse things but I like that deal.  I know it will all boil down to what you can get for what price.

I hope I am not muddying the waters Q.  You are doing awesome in spite of your handicap.  Of course I mean your computer that is giving you problems!!

Title: Re: Carolina Treet in Canada!
Post by: Quarlow on July 13, 2010, 06:00:32 PM
Sonny you are right the shipping would have been a deal killer. But Lenwood pulled out all the stops and came up with a great shipping rate for us. Here is a copy of his e-mail.

Postal pricing-7 cases of Carolina Treet 27.5oz wholesale price plus freight                      $633.95
Postal pricing-1 mailer pack 64oz Carolina Treet                                                            $37.75
Total for product listed above                                                                                  $671.70
Since the above was so much, I got you a common carrier rate for the products
as shown above.                                                                                                   $476.53

We don't ship a lot of products to Canada, so it takes a longer time to deal with all the processes
and get answers back to people requesting information.

Lenwood King

Well I am not sure what the mailer pack for the 64oz'rs is, I subtracted that from the carrier rate which gave me $438.78 which makes the 28's $5.22 each to my door. So then the shipping to you goes on to that. Now I assume the shipping to my door will take a little longer, but you never know. So now I need to confirm who wants what, and if anyone knows what the 64 oz mailer is let me know. Or I can phone him and find out.

given it's $5+/bottle to your door what do you think it's going to cost to ship 4 within Canada?

i don't want each bottle to come in at $15 or something, it's a losing proposition for everyone (don't forget the cost of packaging them up is going to cost a little too)

p.s. there is bound to be some duties on an order dollar of the size to Q, but I'm still good if I order a 4 pack from them with shipping is almost 50.00 so thats a great deal for me

I don't know if this is a good or bad Idea, but buying in Gallons is always cheaper cause of the pkging cost.

They have gallons 4 to a case. the cost on US dollars before shipping is $9 a gal.

might be something to consider.

Get like 8 cases of gallons.

Just a thought.

We may need some more discussion on this. But when you confirm your orders PM me your addresses too please. I will try to figure out what it will cost to ship it but it is so specific to where it is going that it is hard to figure out. Plus it depends on the size of the package too.

They are probably going to ship in 12 pk boxes.

7 x 12 = 84

You have 83 spoken for.

Someone needs to buy one more to make it 7 even cases.

Ok sorry again guys. I have had a bad sinus infection since saturday and today is the first day I have felt sort of human. We are close to getting this order going. Tonight I will check out my pay pal and see if it is working if I can figure it out, it has been along time since I used it. I still need 4 people to confirm their order by sending me a PM with there mailing address. I think just in the interest of getting this done I will just order the 28's. I don't know what the fridge life of it is so a big 64 oz'r may not keep long enough to use up. If anyone knows different weigh in now. If you really want the 64's just say so and I can change the order if you say so soon. If there is a dollar sign beside your name you are confirmed. $ Thanks for your patience. I hope we get this before summer is over. ;D Of course that could be tomorrow.

I've never done it before, but this is what I understand from their website.
1.Log in to your account and enter payer's email plus amount requested.
2.An email alerts the payer to log in or sign up, and make a payment using a PayPal balance, bank transfer, or credit card.
3.You'll get an email notifying you of payment into your PayPal account.

They were closing down, not a soul in the place and is stunk of Disinfectant I do not know if I want to go back there even though it is only 6 blocks from my place. Ross, Did you get a chance to eat or did you have to leave? I've read some good reviews.  I think a restaurant that smells like disinfectant at the end of the night is a good thing.  There's also Ozarks in Langley. I've read mixed reviews though.

Hey Dan I will give Boonies a try again. Ozarks I have tried twice,

Lets give Boonies a try, I always give eateries a second chance.

The latest e-mail on the sauce: Colin, we have to have a customs broker to assist us in getting clearance into Canada. Are you affiliated with Bradley.
and do they have people who do this type of thing.

Please advise.

Lenwood King

I am going to make some calls friday in the morning and see if I can find someone through work. Or I may talk to Brian at Bradley and see if he has any ideas. The saga continues.

They ship to Canada all the time.

Maybe Brian can give you some Heads-Up.

Guys

I was wondering when this might become an issue

Yes, for this amount we will need a customs broker
My guess is that the fees wlll be somewhere between $50 and $100 for the load
If UPS brings it across, I think their standard rate is closer to $100
When the shipment clears, there will most likely be a duty that applies that the broker will pay, not sure what duty would be on something like this
Then the HST will be applied.  Anyone in Alberta note, that you will pay PST even though I think you guys are still exempt from it

Once all the fees are known, we better figure out an all in cost or this could get real;ly expensive and maybe catch some off guard
Title: Re: Carolina Treet in Canada!
Post by: LumpyDVC on July 23, 2010, 08:05:02 AM
Although I'd avoid UPS altogether, you can do your own brokerage/customs papers.
If you are close to the customs hub (Vancouver). It's a simple form to fill out declaring
the goods.

UPS will rape you to do this.

Consider that option. All the send has to do is mark the package CLEARLY customer to
clear customs.

Ok I am going to have it shipped you either a mailbox company just across the border or to my wifes aunt in Birch Bay. Then I will pick it up and bring it across. I will only have to pay the HST on it. This would have been to high of cost for a broker just to get it across the border.

just open up your freezer and pick something. It goes great on chicken and I use it to marinade my jerky, I did pork chops with it. It would probably be awesome on any kind of white fish and maybe even salmon. Might be good on steaks to, I'll tell you when I get mine. It's going on everything.

Does anyone know how the paypal payments work. Do they charge a fee and who pays it, the sender or the reciever? And do you just go to paypal and put in the recivers e-mail address?
Title: Re: Carolina Treet in Canada!
Post by: squirtthecat on August 15, 2010, 12:01:58 PM

Usually whoever is paying gets dinged for 5%.  But not always.   Not sure how they determine when to 'dip' into the payment or not..

Just give your your email addy via PM, and that's what they enter for 'who to pay'.  There is also a 'request money' where you plug in their email addy, and they reply back through PayPal with the payment info.

Works pretty good, saves you running to the bank and cashing checks for a week and a half.

Well I didn't get any shipped today and tomorrow I might not get any done either. But I will get some out tuesday and probably ever night this week, so you should all be happy by mid next week. I was real busy today and the heat here is stifling (for me anyway). Had a nice visit with rossP and his wife Lisa. Very nice folks, could easily consume adult bevy's with them (in fact he offered, but I had just drank a large coke from "rotten ronald's" cause the wife was hungry) and probably will in the future. Very easy to talk to, and well, just darn nice people. He wasted no time with the sauce, in fact he is probably cooking some chicken as I type this. Hope you like as much as I do Ross.

have time for an adult beverage. After you left I fires up the BBQ and did up some chicken with CT. I enjoyed the
taste of the CT on the chicken were the wife likes my homemade sauce better. That means more CT for me ;D.

Not only has Colin had to worry about receiving and shipping the CT thru all of Canada,

I added some extra pressure by taking advantage of him picking up the CT and shipping

Sweet Bread Starter to mikeradio thru Quarlow. Needless to say it has been an adventure.

I know he will share the story of crossing the border with sweet bread starter wrapped up

in plastic jars that were duct tape together to keep them from exploding. I am still LMAO.

Then once he got it to his house he had to Re-new the starter and ship on to Mike. It got

an over nite bus ride to Mike and he will have it today.

Colin I appreciate your Galant effort in helping Mike and myself out. You have a heart as

big as Canada! Thanks again Q!

I think if we were to do this again I would have to enlist someone in Ontario to receive and ship the orders from out there. So I would get however much shipped to them and then they would have to box and ship the orders off. Some of the shipping cost were a little expensive. Like to ship 2 bottles from here to Marathon Ontario is going to cost $17.21 and yet 6 bottles to Oakville Ontario only cost $20.28. I shipped a whole case to Moose Jaw Saskatchewan for only $21.50. So if we do this again I will be looking for a volunteer.

Hey Nepas, what is the shelf life on that stuff?

From what the Lenwood told me its a year or so depending on where ya keep it. Store in a room temp area away from the sun light and freezing temps. Mine dont last that long  ;D

The cases we got say to use by 01/22/12. That seems pretty pessimistic that it would last that long.  ;D

Thanks for the question about the shelf life STC.  STC's coming to Paducah in late September for the BBQ Fest and bringing me half gallon jugs of CT.  We were wondering about the shelf life.  Good to know it will go that long.

Hey Q,
Busted into my case today I gaurantee it wont last that long, I through some chicken parts in the reveo with half a bottle
and let her roll for a while, they went directly on the grill afterwards and got baisted with the CT, pulled the 5 racks BBR's out of the bradley after about 7 1/2 hours and through them on the grill with some sweet baby rays to finish up and I'm telling you I got more comments on the CT chicken then I did on the ribs and they are always a hit.
I think my inlaws actually like me again
Thanks again Colin, you da Man

Hey Q!

Thanks for the effort you put into this endeavor.   Also have to thank you for giving me a good laugh.

I got the mail on Friday and there was a key in my mailbox for a parcel.  I opened up the door and low and behold a box of freezies!  Freezies!?!?!?  All I could think of was "Who the F&#* would send me freezies!"  then I seen the return address and I litterly broke out laughing.  MY CT!!!  I'm sure the neighbors thought I was nuts but I didn't care.  Thanks so much again for doing this and giving me a good laugh!

Hey I had cereal boxes and shoe boxes, cat litter boxes. I never bought anything but tape. I am glad you got the humour in that. Like I said I am cheap. But it is kind of a family tradition to find weird ways to send things. It started when I was 11, I went away with a friend to his uncles farm 700 miles away in the middle of no place by bus that dropped you on the side of the road. Then you had to walk 3 miles down a dirt road to the river and wait for one of the locals to go by in a boat or if his uncle knew you were coming he would come get ya. Well on the way there we stop for a couple of days at his sisters place so we were behind schedule. When we finally got to the farm my mom had already sent me a letter. Of course his uncle had no idea I was coming so he open this kind of odd envelope. Well it seems that with my moms cornball humour, she wrote the letter on toilet paper as a joke but this poor guy didn't know what to think. Then when I was introduced to him he figured it out. He started to laugh and laugh. He laugh so hard I thought he was going to die on the spot. If you can imagine a guy who lives in the boonies with not much contact to the outside world cause the only way you can get there is by boat, recieving a letter written on toilet paper to someone named colin BLOW.
So since then we try to find cheap and humourous ways to send things. Like instead of packing paper I sent me brother a package wrapped in x-mas paper in July. Just goofy stuff, but funny.

Ok here is the story of the border crossing:

So here goes, I headed down to Aunt Izzy's to pick up the sauce after work and
physio on the monday after the sauce show up.
Well Sonny (CRG) had shipped a few boxes of goodies up to her place also to
see if I could bring them across the border. It was 2 boxes of goodies and
2 boxes with sourdough starter in them.
Now you have to picture this, he put the starter into vac pac bags and
then stuffed those into mayonnaise jars then screwed the lids on and then
he duct taped them shut. Well if you don't know, starter grows in the warmth
so he also packed the boxes with freezer pacs to keep the growth to a minimum.
Now the plan was to have the boxes show up at the Aunts place on thursday
or friday and then she would put them into the fridge till I got there on saturday
to bring them up here and then I would refreeze the packs and ship them on to
mikeradio.
Well the best laid plans of men or mice, the Aunt goes to the post office friday
morning and there are no boxes there to pick up so she goes on with her day.
A half hour later the boxes make it to the post office so they send out a notice
that the boxes have arrived.
Great except she doesn't get home till after 5:00 and it is to late to get them.
Now we got these 2 boxes of starter in the Post Office and it is there for
the weekend and it is warming up.
Anyway I decide not to pick up the sauce till monday night after work cause I don't
want to make 2 trips.
Well I picked it up monday night and head for the border.
I get to the border and tell the officer what I have and he sends me to lane 1.
As I am pulling over to the inspection area I was looking at a sign and
not really at the ground and as I pull into lane 1 I run over a small container
sitting on the ground and this thing makes a pretty good bang as it breaks
under my tire. Well it startles me abit cause I wasn't ready for it so now I
am on edge a little.
Well there was a customs officer standing about ten feet away putting his dog
in his vehicle and I guess he gets a startle out of it too.
I get out of my car and look underneath to see what it was and a couple of
other people came over to see also. Well no big deal except I guess the border
guards are kind of jumpy anyways cause they don't get to play with guns
and can't protect themselves like the U.S.guards can. No harm done, it was just
a piece of plastic
I start to head towards the office to report my goods when "johnny crapped his pants
border guard" decides he needs to check out what the loud bang was. He comes walking
over as I start to head to the office and he stops me and starts to grill me as to what
the loud noise was. I tell him it was just a plastic cup or something and I start
to walk away. He says "that wasn't just a cup or something cause it was to loud". What do I know EH.
Well I guess he wasn't satisfied with this answer and needs more info.
He asks me what I am doing so I tell him that I am just going in to declare my packages
but he wants the whole story. I tell him that "I went down to the Aunts to pick up
the boxes of sauce and the ones Sonny sent and now I am on the way home".
He says "did you just pick up the boxes and then leave or did you hang out there for awhile"
I reply "what do you mean" and he said "did you visit, have a coffee or something to drink"
to which I said "well as a matter of fact I did stay for about a half an hour and had
a pepsi with her". Then he says "were you drinking alcohol" and I said "no" cause I wasn't
Then he says "are you sure cause I smell alcohol on you", to which I said "no I
haven't been drinking and if you don't believe me give me a breathalyzer". Well that
must have P'd him off cause then he says "Hey if I wanted to give you a breathalyzer,
I would and I wouldn't need your permission either" so I said "well I have not
been drinking so I have nothing to hide and I don't appreciate being accuse of
something I didn't do". Now he was mad at me and says "I wasn't accusing you
of anything, I just said I could smell acohol on you". To which I told him again
"I haven't been drinking so I was just willing to take one so if you are going to then
go right ahead, now are you done with me". Of course he said "no" and gives me some bull carp
about this and that and then sends me inside.
Now I have to go inside and tell the whole story again cause everyone must have been shivering
in their boots from the bang of the thing under my tire.
Anyways they take the info from me as to what I am bringing back and then the go out to check out
the contents in the car.
I should have looked in the boxes with the starter in it before I went to the border
cause the way they were wrapped looked pretty suspicious I have to say, not to mention that those
mayo jars were on the verge of exploding. I just figured that if they weren't leaking then
they must be fine.
Remember, the starter has been all weekend without cold so it has expanded pretty
good inside these jars that are duct taped shut. All I can say is it is a good thing
they never tried to take the tape off or I would a still be talking to the bomb squad and the CIA
cause when I took the tape off at home they pop with the force of small bombs.
Just ask Sonny if his hearing is back yet cause he was on the phone when they let go
and my ears are still ringing an hour later so his must be too.
This all would have been funny as all get out for about 30 seconds till they had my face shoved into
the ground and my hands cuffed in an awkward way. So anyway we got it home, the starter survived,
and Mikeradio is now the proud papa of a Jr. starter from god nows when it was started.

You got that right Jack...or a whatever your name is. But your right. I told my brother what was up when he saw all this sauce here and he said so are they paying you. I said "no" to which he says "so what do you get out of it". I said the satisfaction of knowing I just sucked all these guys into an addiction they will never recover from.....oops did I type that outloud..... I meant to say the satisfaction of knowing that all my canadian buddies now or soon will have the joy of CT that I have had. So I hope you all enjoy what I have enjoyed and it fills a spot in your pantry that needed filling. And you never know, someday we maybe able to buy it here because a bunch of guys with smoker addiction imported CT.

You bet it's driving me crazy to have wait to make some bread
But it worth the wait to have good healthy strong stater. After it's
Long journey across north America it needed a little tender loving care

I have been feeding and dividing the starter and like CRG said I have 4 starters on the go.  All 4 sample are doing well. I plan to make some bread this weekend

I well be very happy to ship anyone some starter, I think CRG has it all
Figured out how to ship and keep it alive. So just let me know if you want any

That is definitely well travelled sauce. Hey I didn't mind this endevour at all. I love the stuff so much that I beleive it needed to be shared north of the 49th. I am sure not everyone will like it as much but if half of you do then my work is done here. Like I said, we may need to do another order soon but I will do it a little different. I will recruit someone in the east to receive a couple of cases as needed so it will cut the shipping cost down. Six of the fifteen were from Ontario for a total of 30 bottles so it would be easy to get 3 cases or maybe even more now that you all have tried it. Maybe a way for some of you easterner's to meet up for a howdy too.

Just got back from the grocery store and I've got some chicken marinating in CT while the BDS warms up.  I'll give it a couple hours of smoke and finish on the grill.  My taste buds can't wait!

So by now the last person should have his sauce. All in all it was pretty successful. The cost of shipping from the west coast to ontario was a bit costly. It was fun packing up the product, being creative and the only thing I paid for was tape. Some of the guys got some kind of wierd packaging to say the least. I used just about anything I could find that would contain the sauce from cereal boxes to kitty litter boxes to shoe boxes. I hope everyone enjoys the sauce as much as I do, I think it is pretty handy stuff.

If you are going to be in the states for awhile just order a box to that address and bring it home with you. Don't order from the website though. It would be best to phone right to them and oder it. I can give you the 3 or you can get it off the website. I think the personal touch gets you a better deal. And mention you are from the Bradley forum and that you were in on the order that went to Canada. I'm not saying it will get you anywhere but it will look good if we go to put in another order like the last one.
