Title: cheese question please

A few years ago I went to a fair type thing and a guy was selling some homemade cheese he smoked. He had all different types and some of the ones he smoked had a rub on them. The one I had bought was a hot cheese with a sweet barbecue type rub. Kind of reminded me of something I would put on ribs before smoking minus the salt. OK has anyone ever had something like this? and do you know the recipe?

I think nepas has some cheese "ripening" that he had sprinkled some rub on it.

Don't know if he cut the cheese yet. ;D
