WHAT??????  You have so much time to wait and you don't know what to do?????  SHHHHHHHHHH    ;D ;DGotta remember the Bradley pledge.  Smoking is hard work.  Never a spare minute to sit and rest.  Always let them see you in a  sweat.   ;D ;D.  Might I suggest grabbing a beer or 12 and relax and enjoy the day.

Congrats on the 1st smoke.  Might consider keeping a log of what you did, how long it took, what went right and what went wrong.

Well the ham is.  ;D    (http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt326/TMBs/RedNeckham004.jpg) Sorry the picture isn't clear but you get the idea.

Glaze is   1 bottle Sundrop (Mtn-Dew will work) 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cloves (power) a pinch of sea salt. Mix over low boil til it's thick and to your liking.  Spread mixture over the ham every 15 to 20 min's (after 3 to 4 hrs smoke) and slice (pictures soon of slicing

Boy the butt on the other hand is taking forever!!!   not use to waiting, heck I feel like a new father waiting and waiting and waiting!  I keep looking out the door to make sure the power is on!!!!!  Boy talk about a newbie!!   ;D

Yeah Tommy, that ham is definitely done and rocking!  Beautifully done.

First time on a Bradley maybe but this definitely is not your first rodeo around a pit.

Let me just go ahead and get this over with.

It is my pleasure to say............. "reel 'em in boys, we've hooked another one".

Tommy - ham looks great. Butts take a while, that's why they made 12 packs and 18 packs of adult beverages.

OK 10.5 called me to ask how the butt turned out, well I had not unwrapped in yet so while I had him on the phone I opened the foil.
It's good, moist and very tender!!  The bone only stuck where there was a lot of rub/mustard, so I say this was a big cook for me and 1st time out ain't bad! ;D

Now add a little sauce and here's dinner!!

Heck Yeah Tommy, Awesome looking pulled pork and that red neck sammie looks great too.

What did you think of the butt?

How long did you end up doing the FTC?

PS: it was great talking to you on the phone last night and looks like you had a very successful first smoke.

The Butt looks Great Tommy. I would suggest just trying a Sammie nekkid or maybe drizzle a little sauce over the top. This aint the TBE Turbo 4 hour butt. You don't have to dump sauce all over the meat to get flavor!! ;D ;D

I pulled the ham out after 3 hrs 45 nin's unit running 252 most of the time. I did mop with glaze 3 times started at 3 hrs into the cook.

Butt went from 10:15 a.m till 7:38 P.M  removed FTC for about 2.5 hrs and then pulled apart.  Pretty good I'd say  ;)

But that low ans slow took sooooooooooo long!   ;D
I told 10.5 I kept running outside to make sure the smoke didn't stop !  Talk about feeling like a newbie!

Mine was hard to find believe it or not.  I thought canned hams were everywhere but I guess there going out of style.   I would rarely ever open a canned ham but for this use it's worth it's wait in gold   ;D
