Title: Got some cheap pucks
Post by: RAF128 on December 19, 2010, 06:15:18 AM
Got a flyer in the mail from Peavey Mart.    They had the bradley pucks for 14.99.   Regular prices is 19.99.    Headed there yesterday morning.   The place was a zoo.   Well by the time I got there the stock was pretty picked over.    I got a box of the special blend, which I've never tried before, and a box of Alder.    I've got lots of Maple so didn't bother with them.   What I wanted was some more Hickory but it was all gone.    While I was there another customer came by, pointed at an OBS on the shelf and asked if they were any good.    Spent about 10 minutes explaining the virtues of the Bradley.   He as also looking at another smoker and told him to forget it, 'cause he likely wouldn't be happy with that.    Unfortunetly the display unit was the only one they had at $359.   It didn't have a thermometer in it.   Might have been removed to prevent theft or it got borrowed by some cheap customer.  Wanted to know where else he could get one and gave him a couple of choices.
