Title: Off Topic---non food related
Post by: Oldman on April 09, 2004, 01:56:03 PM
It just does not get any better than this for this Ole man.

Below is part of 3 postings I did this week to my gaming group explaining why I had to miss Tues Nite Laugh Nite. This first part is explain why and how the testing is judged.

Tuesday nite:

I will put up the gaming server around 7 pm. However, I will not be able to game tonight.

I have to leave the house Wed. morning by 5:30 am for a very important cleaning test at a school system, next county North.

I will be repersenting the Whittaker cleaning system. One half of "our" test the Whittaker people will be doing using their low moisture method. We will do the second half of the test using Whittaker's wet extraction product but with our restoration process. The Whittaker's Low Moisture method, and our wet process will be contrasted against other companies. The goods are C&A carpets.

This test are very scientific. The test carpets have already been spectographed along with other tests. The current level of soiling plus any left over cleaning residuals have now been rated by numerical number.

On Thurday we all go back and again the same tests will be performed and a new numerical rating based on the "now" soil and residuals count will be contrasted against the original number.

Simple example:
My test rug starts out with a rating of 30.
After the test my rug ends up with a 5.

My score is 25. Or 0.16666666%

Now the next person's rug starts out with a rating of 59
After the test their rug ends up with 15.

There score is 44. Or 0.254237%

This would then show that my cleaning metodology is not as effective as the other one. As the second one removed more soil and residuals Rounded up: 17% ver 26%.

No need to wish me luck~~~I know we will win this one. Dry and Low Moisture methodologies cannot compete against a full blown restoration method~~~ I already feel bad for the other side~~ Not really...suffer baby suffer! Can you feel their pain?

Wed nite:

Well folks the gears got shifted. After all companies realize the carpet was in a restoration mode every one but Whittaker changed their methods to address restoration work.

The testing brought out that this ole....Man knows what he is doing.... I smoked them with my AR-50--they never saw it coming.....I have no fear of tomarrow and the last rounds...We want to thank you for your endorsment.... Heh he he [:D]

Olds...standing tall against several billon dollar per year companies...Ta Da! In simple words of wisdom....Never invite a Dog Of War to the party. We bite, so don't bend over!

Thurs nite:

Day Two.... in the mass war against dirt~~~ LOL

Out of the 4 companies---3 are global, MCCM has been invited back next week to bid on that county's restoration work!!!

And the sound of the Ole Oldman's AR-50 fades into the background....as not one adversary is left standing...

Way to be a PRO, Olds. I love hearing about entruprenurial (sp?) success stories like this....been there (in a different discipline) and love the feeling it gives, whether it's me or another "small" guy "doing it best and winning!". Thanks for sharing it! [:)][:)][:)]

Olds,

Sounds like you really suck![:D][:D][;)]

Sorry, just kiddin', just couldn't pass that up.[:)][8D]

I'm with Kummok, great to see the Davids of the world conquer the Goliaths. We've got a lot in common in that arena....Chez Bubba vs Cabela's. But we both know there's something extra we can add to the equation that the big guys aren't willing or equipped to offer.

Congrats on a job well done. You earned it.[8D][8D]

Ya think next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non?" they would mind?
