I see the PID by Auber is plug and play or the digital smokers is it the same on the 4 rack originals. When you put the extra heat element in the 4 shelfs do you set the pid up with both elements on and use it all the time. Or do you use a switch and use just to bring temps up quick?
Yes the PID is plug and play on the OBS. I have the 2nd element and leave it on. The PID controls both elements. I have the switch but only use it when I want to control it for aother reasons such as when my PID went out then I only used the 2nd element manually with the switch to get to temp.
