Title: Anyone try one of these?
Post by: JimiD440 on June 13, 2011, 08:12:24 PM
Just wondering if anyone tried this power vent instead of the fan mod. Would it work as well? A little pricer instead of a fan kit from Smoke & Stuff or a Pit Runner Fan from BBQ Guru.

My memory is pretty bad, but I think he passed it on to another member. Could be wrong.

looks like a nice unit, only two items i would be concerned about,

1) weather affecting the power connection

2) smoke and moisture getting into the motor  from the  smoking / cooking process

I think that fan is more designed to help dry your product, like jerky.
