Title: Charcoal rubbed poke chops...
Post by: SnellySmokesEm on July 20, 2011, 01:27:20 PM
I had to order some pastrami rub from The Great American Spice company a few weeks back so I decided to browse their site.  Their top seller was something called "Charcoal Seasoning" and was intrigued enough to order a bottle.  So last night I decided to put some on some pork chops and sear them on the Charbroil Red..  I also dusted with some Everglades seasoning.  I wasn't disappointed.  This stuff was really good.  Some of the best pork chops I have ever made.

The ingredients list charcoal as the #1 ingredient.  Weird stuff, but good!

Sounds easier (and tastier) than rubbing your chops with a briquet.

Nice chops! Does the charcoal seasoning taste similar to gunpowder?
