Title: Sweet and Sour Spinach..
Post by: ghost9mm on July 26, 2011, 04:48:25 PM
We received several requests for this recipe...

Sweet and Sour Spinach (this was given to us by grandparents)
                         1/2 pound of Fresh Spinach
                           1/3 cup of water
                           1/3 cup of Vinegar
                           1/3 cup of sugar
                           2 hard boiled eggs
kettle of your choice (big enough to hold the spinach till it cooks down)
Mix the water, vinegar and sugar in the kettle, make sure the sugar has dissolved
bring the water, vinegar and sugar to a boil, and now put the spinach in the kettle
the spinach will cook down, after the spinach has come to a boil...turn the heat
down to a med to low heat.
Now cut the hard boiled eggs into smaller pieces 1/4 size..and place
in the kettle with the spinach..let simmer for 5 minutes and serve.

Now you can adjust the sweetness or the amount of sour...
I know there are some that don't like spinach, but give it a try,
and no it is not sea weed...
