Title: Maverick Customer Service
Post by: Kitchen Commander on October 04, 2011, 07:12:30 AM
I purchased a Maverick ET-73 at the same time I got my OBS.  I was pretty pleased with the performance of the thermometer until the 3rd time I used it.  The smoker temp reading was between 300 and 400.  After foooling around with it a bit and posting on here I figured out that it was a bad sensor.

I called Maverick customer service in NJ this morning (732-417-9666).  The customer service rep was very pleasant and professional and said they would send one out to me at no charge.  I had not registered the warranty yet, but I hoped that I wouldn't have to pay since, I'd only had the thermometer for a week.  I was prepared to pay the $12 if I had to.

It's nice to know Maverick stands behind their products as they did.

Same thing happened to me. No questions asked, they just sent me a new probe.

There sending me one also for my 2 week old 732. But not until they receive my old one.
