Title: High Mountain Hickory
Post by: ralphy670 on December 31, 2011, 02:14:23 PM
I am new to the forum and just purchased a Digital Jim Beam model.  I am currently making a high mountain hickory jerky kit.  I was wondering if I should use smoke as the mix allready smells quite smokey.  It states this kit has a slow smoke hickory taste.  Would adding smoke make it too smokey?

too smokey is a relative term. To be safe you could make two batches and add smoke to one. Or just do it with no smoke and see how you like it.
