Do any of the any of the Jan's Rub ingrediants contain MSG? My wife is really sensitive to the stuff....... Just wondering if anybody knows off the top of thier head.
If there was any it would probably be somewhere in the season salt. Other than that, I don't think that anything else has MSG in it. My wife is also sensitive to MSG so I too have to be careful.

Jan is my wife and here is the recipe http://www.susanminor.org/forums/showthread.php?467-Jan-s-Dry-Rub We use Lawry's Seasoned Salt brand and it contains no MSG.
Thanks! That is good to know. I will mix up a batch and try it this weekend!
You won't be disappointed...
It would make a brick taste good.

You are going to love that stuff. Use it on ribs, butts, prime rib and steaks. MMMM MMMM :P
Try it on scrambled eggs or popcorn too! ;D It's good, I promise.
I really like it on cherry cold smoked new yorks!
I think I read somewhere that MSG occurs naturally in small amounts in some things which is why many packages say "no added MSG", but there's nothing in Jan's rub that intentionally adds it; I doubt it has any at all, but just sayin'....
Love that stuff.
