Has anyone smoked yams? I don't mean canned yams either. If so, how did you do it? I was thinking of just throwing them in the last couple of hours while doing a Turkey Roast. Anyone have suggestions?
I tried throwing a couple yams in during a recent smoke. Perhaps the spuds were in too long, but they came out very bitter. With regular potatoes I've not had a problem.
