Couldn't you just take the listed recipe and divide the amount of each ingredient in half or however much you want to make?

Yeah, just cut the various ingredients quantities by half or fourths or whatever.  However if you are wanting to make a smaller batch because you are concerned about it clumping if not used quickly, don't worry about it.  I have never had Jan's Rub to clump and I have made a bunch(as you can imagine) and have kept some around for a long time and never had an issue with clumping.

NASELS
If you would send me a PM with your personal email. I have put Jan's rub on a auto excel file and it makes all the adjustments for you for any size batch you want to make. I can send it to you as an attachment. I sure wish there was a way to put an attachment on the forum. If any one else wants it they can do the same.

They say Google Docs (http://www.docs.google.com) can host an excel file. Then you just post the URL to it and anyone can d/l it.  My work firewall won't let me get into the Google Docs website.  This is just something I learned from searching for a website to host excel files.

Send me your personal email and I will share it with you. I will also share the base file that you can add your favorite recipes to. Just do a save-as-function and relable the file as your new recipe. It allows you to change batch sizes and all the spices are recalculated for you. I will look into the site. Thanks

Mine does not seem to last that long. I am almost ready to make a new batch.

I keep it in an air tight container, does not clump up but I always give it a shake before using.

OK
I got hooked up with Google Doc so here is the link. Once opened hit file in the upper left hand corner and go down to download and save it to you computer files.

I am also adding the auto excel file for any recipe that you want to put on the file. Just remember to do a save-as as soon as you open the file so that you do not overright the original file. I am adding the spice conversion file that Habs and Viper helped me put together. I will also add one more file just to give you an Idea how it works. You change the batch size and all the spice weights change automatically.
We need to all thank Lon Ockler [MTfiddler] He came up with this and I just added to it to make it easier to understand.

this is very cool and a great way to store your recipes. It will allow you to change sausage batch sizes and all the spices are recalculated for you, including the cure weights. You will have to have a gram scale but they are rather cheap and you will have to convert your recipes to grams but we have provided a conversion chart for that. Converting things to weights allows the sheet to recalculate the spice weights as you change batch sizes. Just remember you need to go to FILE in the upper left hand corner and hit DOWNLOAD.

Go into your fire wall and add goggle docs to allowed sites and you should be able.
