Title: AUTO EXCEL SHEET FOR RECIPE SIZING
Post by: pikeman_95 on July 06, 2012, 10:53:53 AM
OK
I got hooked up with Google Doc so here are some links. I now have a way of attaching a file. Once opened hit file in the upper left hand corner and go down to download and save it to you computer files. This started out to be a reply to the sizing of the Jan's rub recipe but I thought I would share the information on the sheet. Open all the links [they are safe] and you can save them and then play with them. I included a blank sheet to start adding your recipes to. Just do a save-as function first.

I am also adding the auto excel file for any recipe that you want to put on the file. Just remember to do a save-as as soon as you open the file so that you do not overright the original file. I am adding the spice conversion file that Habs and Viper125 helped me put together. I will also add one more file just to give you an Idea how it works. You change the batch size and all the spice weights change automatically.
We need to all thank Lon Ockler [MTfiddler] He came up with this and I just added to it to make it easier to understand.

this is very cool and a great way to store your recipes. It will allow you to change sausage batch sizes and all the spices are recalculated for you, including the cure weights. You will have to have a gram scale but they are rather cheap and you will have to convert your recipes to grams but we have provided a conversion chart for that. Converting things to weights allows the sheet to recalculate the spice weights as you change batch sizes. Just remember you need to go to FILE in the upper left hand corner and hit DOWNLOAD.
