Please post your pictures of what you received in the Christmas Exchange this year in this thread.
Remember to tell everyone who sent you your gift.
If you don't know or can't figure it out. Send GusRobin a PM. He is the keeper of the list.
Let me be the 1st to say "I gotta box"! Glade Arron let me know there was a box on my porch as I seldom go out the front door.
So I gotta box
(http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e25/jcompton1/100_8712.jpg)
Note on box says "Don't use Knife" So I has to chew thru it
(http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e25/jcompton1/100_8713.jpg)
Wow! Very thoughtful gifts were in the box. Got my own cutting boards now! Plus a pare of niffty hot plate pinch grips. They will be used a ton. Plus there was a fog purse. Looks like the the frogs skin had been tanned and made into a coin purse. Great place to store my change for the grandkids
(http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e25/jcompton1/100_8715.jpg)
Then there is a jar of special pickles, can't wait to try them. A jar of Johnny's Seasoning salt, a log of SS, bag of jerky, 2 bags of disposable gloves and a pair of scissors.
In the box was a very nice note from Arron aka Keymaster. He said he went thru my posts and saw that I always use my wife's scissors and now I have my own.
Arron, thank you for the very special gifts. I assure you that they will be well used. I wish you and your family the best Christmas ever.
Jim
Nice: 1 down 41 more to go.
Glad it made it jim, I think those little silicone pot holders should work nicely on bradley racks. Merry Christmas all.

I need to find out where you picked them up. Wife has confiscated them already! She wants to buy some to use as stocking stuffers. Told her that since she took MINE she has to replace them for me. You are right about using them for the Bradley racks. Not only that but for my pizza stone, getting meatloaf pans and other pans and dishes out of the oven. I have a bad habit of dipping the pot holders into the dish and getting them soaked. Those little gadgets are fantastic.
Thank you again!
Jim
I Got It! I want to thank Jim "Sailor" Compton for his wonderful dip mixes. I can't wait to try out every one of them. They came in a beautiful penguin bag. :) I want to wish you and all of your family a wonderful Christmas Season.

Sadly, the postal service got alittle rough with one of the boxes and the Secret BBQ Sauce dispenser didn't make it :'( :'( It is still very much appreciated Gus. I debated whether to show it or not, but I thought it might be a good reminder for folks to package carefully.

EDIT: Looks like it was just delivered...that's odd. Normally it takes another day before it is received. 10.5, you must have been correct on that one. Little Yellow Card, Ay?

Well maybe if you show some of that great smoking you do more often, Well you'd keep your touch at the pics.
Yeah that woould be true, cept I have barely touch the smoker at all this year. Been to busy trying to keep ahead of the upkeep at my dad's place. After his stroke 5 years ago things have gotten behind so I have had to spend more weekends at it or when I move down there it will be to overgrown.
Sorry didnt men to dredge up bad memories. I know what you mean seems the meat takes the bottom shelf to the every day problems especially the health and death ones. I had an uncle and an Aunt pass this year I was close to. Dont know what a dad will be like. But its hard no matter. Hope things loosen up and get better for you. Have a great Christmas and New years.

TYVM Chris!!!!
I got my box today. All I can say is WOW!!
I have truly been spoiled, THANK YOU so very much to Brian and all the great people at Bradley. My box was stuffed so full it was really unbelievable, but here goes..
a card signed by what I would guess is all the employees at bradley and a note from Brian, a Bradley hat & touque, 2 Bradley towels, Bradley apron, two awesome flexible
food smoking guides and cutting boards(suggestions for food/wood smoke pairings), Bradley bag, big Bradley logo sticker, 1 box of fly fishing flies(really cool), Bradley edition Lyman fishing lure, Bradley Zippo lighter, 24 cherry bisquettes, 24 whiskey oak bisquettes, 24 horny goat weed( I have no idea what a horny goat weed is, but look forward to trying these) 24 sarsaparilla root bisquettes, a jar of Ted Reader's "beerlicious" bbq sauce, and finally (I did say I got totally spoiled) a can of Canada No1 medium maple syrup.
I do not really spend much time posting on the forum as I just can not find the time, but I do still check in from time to time. I do most defiantly still use and love my OBS and
I always recommend them to anyone who asks me about my smoking addiction. I'm really going to try and make some time to get back on the forum in the new year.
I truly do not have the words! Brian, this was truly above and beyond.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and everyone at Bradley!!
cheers,
Andy aka sNc

I had an uncle and an Aunt pass this year I was close to. Dont know what a dad will be like. But its hard no matter. Hope things loosen up and get better for you. Have a great Christmas and New years.
All is cool Viper, My dad is still with us. But he is in a longterm care home. His wife still lives on the housebout so I have to keep up the property for her. We own a small patch of river front where my dad built his 20'x60' housebout. My wife and I will be moving in there eventually. And now back to what is important on this thread. Great gifts everyone. This is so awesome.
Could of sworn I already posted this but can't find it anywhere. So here it is again.
All but 5 have shipped their gifts. Four (4) have stated they would be shipping in the next day or so. I haven't heard from "jiggerjams" so if anyone is in contact with him please find out.
Here are the folks that shipped. If you have shipped and are not listed, PM me and let me know.

Gus; put me on the "sent package" list,,,,,,,,,,,PM sent
I feel bad I didn't get in on the gift exchange this year. I am admiring the BBQ goodies from around the US. Well I am definitely in for gift exchange V.
Sorry skishy. next year I guess. Write it on the calender and keep an eye open. If it would make you fell better I could use a new 4x4, maybe a cheyenne 3500 or F-350 in dark blue. LOL
FedEx interrupted my pastrami experiments today to give me this:

My very own Kirby mixer! Thanks pikeman!
Now I need a PID and a new drill(!) to start making sausage!
If you got that as a present I want them next year! LOL! You wont be sorry using that. My best piece of equipment. I use the stainless steel blade the most. But i haven't seen any thing mix as good. Pair that with his stuffer and your golden! But be warned I tried my 19 volt battery drill and almost burn it up. Get a cheap old fasion 1/2 horse with a cord. Cost me 2.00 at a yard sale. Works like a tank.
Got mine last night at work right now so will have to post pictures tomorrow.
What great gifts!
And yes... Don't burn out your cordless!
lots of great gifts
You folks have really outdone yourself this season! Once again the Bradley family shines on! Keep up the good work. :)

Well sitting around the house and relaxing when I heard a bang out back! Looked and some one had placed a box on my back porch. Well its long and skinny and no name or nothing on it except a return lable to a company. Figured just another item the wife ordered on line for Christmas. Well her being gone and me bored ,figured I'd see what was in it. Well to my suprise there is an a-maz-en smoker in there. 18" tube model. And also one bag of pellets and a bag of charcoal. No card or nothing so figured Id ask Gus about it. Well I found this type written strip tha says Happy smoking from the Badley Forum. So I figure matybe I won it or some thing. LOL! Thn Gus checks and finds Its my secret Santa. Standles!! Well Thank You very Much!!! Will have a great time with this!! Way over the top!

Hey those dont work. Click and there the same size! Thought id let you Know.
Yeah apparently Photobucket screwed up the clickable img/html code.
I have been digging through their help sections but nothing they suggested works.
I have tried several edits and cannot get it to link correctly.
I guess I am just gonna link fullsize.
I GOT A SHASTA BOX!
All the way from Shasta Bob.. I have to preface this in that one bottle didn't survive the trip. Poor fella. :(
Here we go..
Yes! I've looked at this brand online.

Classicrockgriller you are just about as sneaky as I am. I love the book. This is going to be so much fun to read through. The first page that I turned to was the recipe for layered egg casserole. This is a dish my mom used to make but as she is 93 years old she could not remember what was in it. This is not just a book of Cajun and Creole Cooking but about the Cajun people. I have a friend that loves to cook Creole food and I can't wait to show him this book. Thanks again Sonny. Have a Merry Christmas and to all my friends at the Bradley Forum please have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. What a fun bunch of guys. Here is a picture of this book. It is huge.

I got mine!!
The wife called me at work and told me I got a package and it was heavy. So when I got home I tore it open and here is the neat stuff I got:
Some very good sausage mixes
(http://i1047.photobucket.com/albums/b476/gusrobin/IMG_0855_zpsd405dfd8.jpg)
Pepper stick mix and some Penzeys spices. This was timely. After reading a few posts on pepper sticks, it got me thinking of making some this weekend. However, since I didn't have the mix I was going to make the spicy sticks based upon the recipe in the forum recipe site. Now I can make the real thing.
More spices, a card, and some sloppy Joe mix.
Some more spices
(http://i1047.photobucket.com/albums/b476/gusrobin/IMG_0861_zpsba4c3a36.jpg)
And to complete the package: Casings and netting.
Thank you very much Curt (OU812). This is a perfect gift for me and I am really going to enjoy this. Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year to you and yours.
Good score!. That oU812 is a good guy! Nice. Looks like a lot of stuffing in your future. Better get of of them big water suffers. LOL!
Glad they made it Gus,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I was beginning to wounder,,,,now I can sleep at night ;D
Them seasonings say they are for 25 lb but I cut the meat back to 24, or weigh the seasonings cut them in half and add to 12 lb of meat.
There should be enough casings to make every thing but one of the packs of brats, I shoulda got a hank of the hog casings but I was in a hurry and forgot I picked up 2 packs of brat seasonings
I was in and out in less than 3 min, suppose to be workin ::)
Them big casings will hold 5 lb but when doing 12 lb of meat I use 3 casings
Hope ya got some ring pliers and rings, those big ones will need 1/2" rings ;D
All them spices from Penzeys are the ones I use the most, got a shaker of the lemon pepper on the dinner table
Enjoy and thanks for puttin this together for us
Happy Holidayz

welcome and enjoy, may you and your family have a great christmas
Beefmann (Dale) and OU812 (Curt) are too polite to tell you the tale of the Pensrock gift. It has traveled many miles.
So a few days ago I get a PM from Curt asking if he had 2 secret Santa's because he received 2 gifts, one from Beefmann and 1 from Iceman. So instead of opening either one he got a hold of me. So I figured someone sent to the wrong person. I went and looked up the list and saw that Beefmann's should have went to Pensrock. I went and looked at the original PMs I sent. When I sent them instead of typing each one I cut and pasted the messages and just changed the names. I missed changing the one to Beefmann so he sent his to Curt also. So Curt was nice enough to re-mail it to Pensrock.
Thanks again Curt.
I guess one mistake out of 42 isn't too bad.

It all worked out good Gus, very nice of you to send the package onto its final destination Curt!!
You are very welcome smokertime I hope you enjoy eveything. Too bad about already having Carolina Treet but it is one of those prized Bradley forum well experienced sauces you can not go wrong with. Stay warm my friend and enjoy the holidays.
Jiggerjams
Kirby, that is an awesome book and it will be something you will enjoy for a long time.
Merry Christmas and have a safe Holiday.
Ohhh Yesss. Almost forgot. You have another box coming your way with some local goodies.
It may not get there before Christmas because one of the things needs a trip to Houston to get.
I will pm you when it is sent.

When I got home last night this was waiting for me. I just got the chance this afternoon to open it up. Thanks Greg (Pensrock). I really appreciate it. I have been wanting to try the Carolina Treet. As you can see I have some pork steak marinating it in right now. It is not available around here. So I am really looking forward to trying it for supper. Also can't wait to try the smoked cheese and meats. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Your very welcome Sharon, I'm glad to see it got there on one piece. :)
I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.
Well we received our gift last week, but it has been a bad couple of weeks for us, so we have been negligent about posting.

Thanks again muebe! Now if you will excuse us, we are off to munch on some pistachios.....
The Seemores

That chipotle/honey rub sounds like it would be great on some smoked pistachios. Now if you only knew someone who knows how to make them? Hmmmmm?
;) ;D
Seemores; I here tell that "Texas Rib Candy" is some gooood stuff!!
Hoping things get better your way

Darn, MORE BBQ sauce, what ever will I do with it!!!!!! And an awesome note with a little explanation of all the goodies.
Again Bryan, I hope you and yours have a safe and Happy Holidays full of everything that you could ever ask for, want, need and not need!
Gus and the rest of the group this has been an awesome experience. I have been here less than a year and if for some reason the PO/Santa would have decided I wasn't a good boy enough to get any treats this past year all the knowledge and people I have met and everything I have learned has been gift enough!
Happy Holidays everyone!!!!!!!
John
AND THEN THERE WAS ONE..... 42 gifts shipped, 41 received. The only one still enroute is for Iceman --guess they are walking it to Alaska. They did tell the sender that it would be later this week that it would arrive. So keep the faith Iceman
Well all i got to say is it went off beautiful and you done a really fine job Gus. You got a great bunch of people to deal with that no doubt helps. But I am sure there were times you thought you shouldn't have offered to do it. So I want to thank you again. And thanks for straightening me out too! Well guys another Christmas and a lot of love. Looking forward to what next year brings. As you guys never fail to amaze me with your ingenuity and smoked foods..Some day I hope to be in a class close to some of you. And to all my friends I say Merry Christmas and may God bless you!
Been watchin and lookin. I think the Forum out did it self this year.
Pat on the back to every one.
The Christmas Exchange on the Bradley Forum has a special place in my heart.
It hasn't worked on most other Forums.
BUT, every one of you that played are "top notch".
Great thought went into these gifts.
Again, Thanks again Gus for the effort you put forth.
No: Roll Tide.
Gus

Also keep in mind Iceman may be up on the Slope at work. Miss Ann might get all the sweets out of the box before he get's back!! I wouldn't blame her after all she has to put up with Him when he does show up!! ;D ;D
HEY! I heard that Chris >:( ;D
Yes, I'm stuck up north til the first. Looking forward to getting back and opening the present.
I will post pics asap.
Thanks again Gus for all the work my friend.
Iceman - when the package shows up can you have Miss Ann let you know and let us know. Thanks
It was a pleasure to be part of this this year. You all really fulfill the "More blessed to give than to receive" philosophy. A special thanks to you Gus, since I was your recipient, and for overseeing the whole thing as well. A merry Christmas to all of you and a blessed new year. Health and Happiness to all,
Carl
Gus:
Thanks for allowing yourself to be duped volunteering to run the event this year. It went off great and I am sure there were hair pulling sessions we did not even witness. Your willingness to ensure this event went off is commendable. Thank you for the joy you helped spread this Christmas Season.
To the participants.. Many thanks for you great gifts all and the camaraderie that exists here on this site. I don't know what instills that here because I have not found it on any other board. I hope it never goes away.
Merry Christmas to all and God Bless you everyone.
Steven

Great news !!!
Just talked to Ann and she said we received a wonderful package of goodies from Schmidty.
Thanks buddy for all the great spices. You hit the nail on the head my friend!
Can't wait to get home and try them out. :)
Thanks Rob! Hope you and the family have a fantastic holiday.
I'll get some pics posted ASAP when I get back home.
Take care everyone and enjoy the holidays.
THAT"S A WRAP –or should I say "unwrap" . All 42 of us have received our gift.
I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. There were a lot of good gifts out there.
Lessons learned:
1) Make sure you adequately protect any glass items that you send via USPS. Seems like we had a high casualty rate this year.
2) Some of us have a difficult time understanding directions.
3) I had fun doing this and will probably be willing to do it next year also.
4) Next year I think I will charge $10 to participate. When you PM me that you sent your gift, you get $5 back. When you PM that you received your gift, you get the other $5 back. Call it the "Incentive Program" : ) (just kidding)
5) The Mayans calendar didn't end because it was going to be the end of the world, they just laid off the calendar makers.
So to close I will paraphrase the ending of that favorite seasonal poem:
" I would like to proclaim to all members of this site
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night"
Or the one I like:
"I heard him exclaim as he went out the side
Merry Christmas to all and to all a—" Roll Tide "
Be safe all
Thanks for all the work you did putting this together Gus! It was a really great showing! It was fun to see all the wonderful gifts!
Great job Gus, very well organized.
Ya did a great job Gus
Thanks a lot for stepping up and running the show, oh by the way:
Fightn' Irish are going to roll the Tide this year
Don
It was a great gift exchange this year. Thanks again Gus for the hours you spent collecting names, drawing names, counting names, recounting names and so on, you did swell. Cant wait to see what Pat the iceman got.
So, this roll tide thing. My box of tide just sits and scoots no matter how hard I try to make it roll :o
Great job to all.

I can't believe that my package was the LAST – I talked to GusRobin when I got you as my buddy and I told him that I thought I needed to ship direct early since you are basically "off the grid" ... he told me explicitly not to be a NePaSmoKer and Pre-ship – wait and ship during the designated timeframe :) I thought it was so cool when I got it the way they used the nutmeg acorns, cinnamon sticks and bay leaves as packing material ~ since it evidently did the job I think that will be my packing material of choice from now on! Hope that you and Mrs. Iceman have a good Christmas apart but make up for it when you get home. Not to rub it in or anything but we are heading to Cocoa Beach tonight / tomorrow (Leave here about 3am and should get there 4pm Sunday) ..... temperature on Christmas shows 78 degrees – I'm sure that is a far cry from what you will be experiencing on the north slope. Say hi to Santa for me when you see him up there and I can't wait to see all of the recipes that you will be making.
Take care and Merry Christmas ~ to quote our awesome 2012 Christmas Exchange organizer .... "I heard him exclaim as he went out the sight, Merry Christmas to all and to all a—Roll Tide ".

Being the spice nut that I am, this was spot on!
I already tried some Bicentennial rub mixed with mustard and olive oil on some pork chops last night. Dang tasty!

Thank you so much Rob!
Pat and Ann
Very nice spice gift pack!
Pat the Northwoods seasoning is great, I buy the spicy version and use it a lot on chicken and smoked pistachios among other things.
What a great box of spices! The wait was worth it for sure!
All the spices on my spice rack are Penzeys
I do think this year the gifts were pretty exceptional. Also I liked the changes in how it was run. Was nice to see the lists and be able to keep up as well as Gus! Kind of adds to the exchange waiting and watching. Well I will be looking forward to next year. Even have my wife involved. As I rarely leave the house for a while now. And definitely never to shop. She has already brought me two gifts, at first I thought they were for me. But she said no! Starting early for the exchange. Guess that means she approves too! LOL! Got to watch what I think even these days. After all these years its like she's in my brain. :-\ But thanks everyone and thanks again Gus!
Yeppers viper, we were just talking about the great time everyone has on the forum doing this each year. Hope we can keep on doing this for many years to come! :)
