Title: Sunday Cheese Smoke
Post by: terry08 on April 14, 2013, 04:54:32 PM
Picked up a few more pounds.
Left to right, Pepper Jack, Monterey Jack, Colby, bottom is swiss, but turned orange color. Beginning to think that it is not real swiss. Will let bloom and then seal.

Great color!  How long did you smoke?  What flavor?

Three hours of hickory sawdust. Was going to use apple pellets for the smoke. But didn't make it to Academy Sports, to get them. Plus I have always used the dust logs for cold smoking and we love the hickory on cheese.
