Title: Folks, Anyone have a recipe for hot smoking sardines....
Post by: bill from lachine on September 11, 2013, 02:56:38 PM
Folks,

Just signed up and looks like lots of know how on the site.

I was wondering if anyone had a good recipe for smoking sardines....there's some for mackeral but
with sardines being quite a  bit smaller I was wondering if the times and temperatures would have to be reduced.

Regards

Bill

DO NOT USE THIS RECIPE!!! Unless you want to get hooked! The only one we found better was some kipper that a good friend sent us from the Isle Of Man. Good stuff. Thanks again Manx  ;)

I had a lot of grilled/fried/pickled anchovies while wandering around the Amalfi Coast.  I bet hot smoked would put them over the top.   Good stuff!!
