Unfortunately the Marines of Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines were armed with more than pen knives :-[ :-[ :-[ http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/05/26/AR2006052602069.html
TomG I'm having a hard time with that story. A couple of bad apples I can understand, but I'm having a hard time understanding this: "...the rampage lasted three to five hours and involved two squads of Marines." That is one long time for two squads to kill 25 un-armed people who basically lived next door to each other.
We will just have to wait and see how this plays out.

Olds I know what you mean. I had the same problem believing that Mi Lai happened, but it did and just as we did 33 years ago it's time to bring our troops home before more sh*t hits the fan. "Mission Accomplished".

I agree, we need to wait until this plays out, but it sure doesn't look good. From my understanding; it is alleged that the second squad arrived later and help with the cover up, not the killing of civilians. The total time including the cover up at the scene took several hours. So there is a lot of infromation, misinformation and speculation going on at this time.
