Title: Flank steak
Post by: viper125 on October 14, 2013, 08:50:27 PM
Well wife found a 2 lb flank steak marked down to 10.00. Marinated in apple vinegar, cider, touch of terriaki and soy sause for 2 hours. Then let sit out 45 minutes to get to room temp. Sprinkled with a heavy coat salt and pepper. Then applied a 2 hour cold smoke in the bradley. Then a date with my hot grill. Cooked to 140 degrees and pulled and left rest 5 minutes and sliced on my slicer. Super juicy and tender. Wife hates steak but ate two helpings of this. Smiled and said this I could get use too. Lol.(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/10/15/7uje4u5a.jpg)(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/10/15/eta8edab.jpg)

Thanks all! Yes truly a winner. Now if i can recreate the marinade i did at the last moment and didn't write down it will be a keeper. LOL! First time in ages i haven't used measurements to save recipe. But was a bad day for me, and barely made it through what i did do. Some days are a struggle with my own body to even get out of bed. But sure glad i had the chance. Lots more to do when i get the chance. Thanks again for all the nice words.

I try never to these days. Memory is so bad I'll but the meat in and leave the garage. Then come right back to make sure i closed the door on the smoker. LOL! Always hated phones. But would be lost with out it. I have a note pad app. And i sit and think my days out and right them out. Step by step. LOL! Really embarrassing but after all i been through and docters not knowing why im still alive. I am thankful for just waking in the morning. LOL! But use to be my recipes were all in my mind. Now on phone and computer. Just like timex I can take a licking and keep on ticking. LOL!
