Well, my element is finally ready for the scrap heap. It lasted 20 months and a really incredible amount of cooks.
Bought a replacement (actually got 2 of them) for $20 each with free shipping with Amazon Prime. Will be here Tuesday.
No big deal to me, but I could see how bad it must feel to have one fail early.
I was doing an eye round of beef and some short ribs. They ended up getting about an hour of cold smoke and a finish in the oven. My house smells great!
I guess I better quit putting it off and order a spare element.
Ditto. Mine is still working after 7.5 years.
