Title: Attempting to Assemble a PID Controller
Post by: Shuswap on April 09, 2015, 07:23:11 AM
I am assembling a PID for the OBS using a REX-100FK02-V*AN N and Fotek SSR-40 DA relay.  I am struggling with the wiring and have been unable to find a diagram for this particular PID.  I have Rob's write-up.  Meanwhile my question is whether or not the K thermocouple provided can be installed in the Bradley, and if so where, or should a different type of probe be used.  Any help will be appreciated.

I have an Auber SYL-2352 (http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=3) PID controller in my Bradley OBS.  I use an Auber K-type TC with an alligator clip and attach it below the lowest rack of whatever I'm smoking.  I run the wire through the top vent.

K Type Thermocouple w/ alligator clip tip (http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=20_3&products_id=275)

Have you placed the PID controller within the smoke generator housing?

I will be enclosing the PID in a separate housing

Since you quoted something I posted, I'm assuming you're asking me.  Yes, I have my PID in the SG.
