Title: homemade potato chips

I am going to try  this today. has anyone made their own chips in a Bradley. will potato soak up a lot of smoke if cut thin   any thoughts?

Have not done potato  but did try rhudabega - NO GOOD!!!!

Good luck though.Let us know how they turn out.

this did not work out as well as I hoped. the chips dry at different rates and burn quite quickly. those that were not blackened were quite bitter. have to revamp the process and try again sometime. live and learn..  if anyone has had good luck with this I would like to hear their process. but since the smoker is ready to use I might as well get some chicken 0s into the jans rub and call some friends over for supper.

Make as usual in the deep fryer then, cold smoke with smoke generator only. I do it every time and get good results.
