Title: Oven Temp To Hot
Post by: WhatIsThis on December 16, 2018, 11:33:23 AM
For the last two days Smart Smoker says the oven temp is at over 350 and then does the shutdown.  Problem is that's a couple minutes after start up and the temp is actually around 40.

1) Anyway to work around this in the short term so I can get the 100 lbs of summer sausage moved through that's in limbo right now?

2) Is there a permanent solution to this?

Not the first time for this and is becoming frustrating and expensive.

Cheers

Hi WhatIsThis;

Welcome to the forum.

I'm not familiar with the Smart Smoker. If you do not get any further responses, you should give Bradley a call tomorrow. I know that doesn't help you today.

I do know that the manual states that 40°F is the lowest recommended temperature for optimal performance. Is it possible this can be caused by the ambient temperature?

Unfortunately it's normal situation. At least mine works the same. The only way that I've found to fix it is to use my Pid controller.

Mine was an issue with the headphone looking jack. Take a look at this other thread.
