Title: Which rack
Post by: Redroy74 on August 21, 2004, 03:23:13 AM
I have decided to buy a BS and I am going to get an extra set of racks. I see there are two types, the stainless and the non-stick??
Which are better for what uses?? Bradley doesnt give much info.

get the Jerky racks incase you want to do that someday...you can use those to double your capacity as well....just gives you more versatility

Ditto what ET said. Why not give yourself the versatility? The jerky racks can also be used for scallops, veggies & anything smaller that might risk falling through.

It's not the non-stick-vs-steel that makes the difference, both IMO, clean up fine. The regular racks are a one inch pattern weave, the jerky racks are a 1/2 inch pattern weave.

See what you get when you ask someone who actually uses the product they sell![:D]

We sold a smoker to a guy that called & asked what the extra rack set was good for & I told him. He told me Jack's Country Store had responded to the same question: "I don't know, but we sell a lot of them, so they must be good for something."[B)]

Feel free to call us if you have more questions.

Ya think next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non?" they would mind?

Redroy,

Do yourself a favor. Get your BS from Chez's House of Smoke... Order one day and it normally ships that day. Some of the members here did not and they had horror stories about the wait time...like in weeks.

He also throws in a 60 pack of pucks. And don't forget to get Bubba Pucks!

I second that motion. I bought mine from a local store here, but have sent a few people to Chez Bubba's. I have ordered some supplies and the service and prices are great. I am a big fan as you can tell.

Get the bubba pucks they are a big help

I really wish I would have read more about where to get a Bradley smoker in this forum before ordering one online. I just got my smoker today after placing the order 30 days ago with Americasbestbbq.com (after 2 emails and 1 phone call trying to find out what was taking so long). At least I have it now and it's seasoning right now.

dc,

I am sooo sorry about to hear about where you ordered your BS from.

Not another story about [}:)]America's Worst BBQ. Can't believe these folks are still in business. I still feel bad about what I said about them, I think I was the only person that got what they asked for-on time, then proceeded to recommend them. I don't think I have heard one good story. I accually emailed them and told them about how bad they were getting burned around here, never heard back.

I don't have anything to add, the answers are pretty clear above, the jerky rack gives you more versatility.

The only reason I'm posting is because of CB's comment, it makes a lot more sense to a new guy if I dropped my tag line on this thread[:)]
