Title: Cheater's Calzones
Post by: Tiny Tim on May 18, 2007, 07:05:32 AM
Like the title?  Not really sure what to call these, but I was impressed with how good they were for something I just came up with spur of the moment.

Preheated my oven to 425ish, and took some Pillsbury pizza dough (the tube that's with the cinnamon rolls at the store), unrolled it onto a foil lined cookie sheet, then cut it in half and put about 30 pepperoni slices on each half.

Next I added some ground beef that I had browned.

And some shredded Mozzerella cheese.

Wrapped it up and put into the oven and knocked the temp down to 400.

Nineteen minutes later, plated, cut in half, and served with cold Ragu Original Pizza Sauce.

One of these is also gonna be lunch today here at work.

Add some of that sauce in there and its called a Stromboli.

But prety much a straight up Calzone.

for a good sauce look up my Grilled pizza recipe for a Marinara sauce that would work great this on the recipe site.
