Just received my smoke generator-and getting ready to install it in a large freezer. Not sure if I want to stand up the freezer on end due to wanting to start with smoked sausage and being a chest freezer I feel I could make better use of the space the way it sets. Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated.........[:p]

Seems to me that smoke & heat rises so to get the most efficient use of it the smoker should be a vertical. But I've never built my own, so maybe I'm wrong. (You asked for any input, didn't require that it was qualified!)
