Seemore and the Mrs. AGAIN. HELP US PLEASE!!! We have tried to put in a picture under our name.
We have copied the "www....." and pasted, we have copied the file, pasted, etc.
We have a red "x" where the picture should be.
What are we not doing????
Seemores,
If using photobucket I think you want to use the direct link. Mine starts with http:\\i281.photobucket.com\albums.......... (no www.)

Seamores
I uploaded mine. Although it was sized appropriately for an avatar.

Try this
Go to your profile check of the box that says " I will upload my own picture"
Then click on the button that says Browse.
You should be able to pick a picture right of your own computer
I upload mine from my computer also. If your file is too large the site will time out and cancel the operation. So I first resample the image size. I generally go down to around 320x240 picels, at around 96 pixels per inch. Then upload following the instructions Brian has posted.
You can resize pictures here if you like:

Pensrock, thanks for that link. :)
Hi Brian (Bradley HR)
You mentioned to go the the box "insert your own picture'
where would that be. I can't find it on the reply page.
Thank

You select the "Profile" tab near the top of any page. Once your in your profile, on the left hand side you select "Forum Profile Information" and your there...

Thanks Mike,
I missunderstood the issue. I thought it was to post picts on a topic, not to post your pic on your profile. As you can see in my profile, I already have a picture with my profile.
So the best way (i've never done it yet but will soon) to post pictures on a post it to use Photobucket I prsume.

I use Photobucket myself and a lot of members here do as well. There are others as well but that is what I use. Here is a link to a really good "how to" write up by FLBentRider for PhotoBucket.

QuotePensrock, thanks for that link.
Anytime HCT. :)
Thanks everyone for the feedback and suggestions. Due to Scott's long hours due to driving in snow storms, and me trying to keep the driveway/sidewalk/deck clean, we have not been out to try these suggestions yet, but plan to soon.
If we still can't get it to work you can bet that we will be getting back to you!
Thanks again - you are all such a wonderful bunch of people!! :)

Went from minus 35F to plus 4F in 24 hours at Prudhoe Bay the other day. Minus 24 in Wasilla at the house 2 days ago and now at 40 plus and rain! Weird stuff going on. I might fire up the smokers tomorrow and stock up on some pulled pork and brisket. Probably toss some ribs on for dinner while I'm at it. ;D
Man the temp swings got to be killer. I'm sure its nice to go outside in shorts sleeves even if its only for a little while. :)
BTW, I know a guy who has the best bbq sauce to go with that pulled pork and ribs. It comes in beer mugs. ;D
