Not all of the sportsman warehouses are closing.  Most of the stores were purchased by a Canadian company headquartered in Alberta.  The United Farmers of Alberta, a farmer owned co-operative, has recently bought into the recreational supply business in a big way.  Very reputable outfit, knowledgeable counter personnel, excellent prices, and aftermarket service.  I think that they are only keeping the profitable stores open at the outset, but expanding as business dictates.
