Dang.     Might take you up on the snail mail, though.  I found a place that wanted 8 bucks to ship one bottle of it..   Will return box with $$ and a couple bottles of a local BBQ sauce.

Bacon is the Crack Cocaine of the Food World.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

The Bradley had a stronger smoke taste. Kinda dry even after the 2nd injection of CT.

The Traeger has a smoke to it but not as strong, and has a moistness to the meat.

Rick,

Those really look good!  I thought from the pics that the Traeger butt looked more moist.  I remember you were going to use alder for the Traeger butt.  Do you think that using alder may account for the less smokey flavor even though at 225 in the Traeger you're still getting a fair amount of smoke on the meat the entire time?

Yeah the Alder wasnt as hard on the smoke as the Bradley was. I ran out of Alder the last 2 hours and i went to my hickory/corn mix  ;D

Did ya cook it the whole time in the bradley. Do you ever finish in the house oven covered (boat). I did an 8.5lb'der; 4 hrs smoke in bradley and took to 190 in home oven covered and I dam near almost could not take it out of the pan because it was so tender and moist. Just wondering' you know trying to learn more stuff. I sure am going to inject two times now that seen that here from you. Never thought about that. Thanks.

I never oven the butts. I do full time in both Bradley and Traeger.

Same here.

Start to finish in the Bradley.

NePa those butts look moist from here, I would of thunk you would have seen some color change from the injection with the CT

Got a butt out of the freezer last night and rubbed on some CT to soak in wile its thawing in the fridge, getting ready for this weekend.

I tried the CT for the first time last night, I'm hooked   :o

going to have to try that, all-nighter in the bradley. Smoke smell tends to bother the boss (wife) when that bad boy is in the home oven for long periods of time. I absolutely love it when the house smells like that.but it will give me something else to try. I guess it cant be that bad since it will be in a boat. I will make sure is deep enought to catch all the juices that come out. Maybe even put two in there just in case. I remember looking at the pic posted of the incinerated bradley, dont want that to happen to me.  :)  :'(
