Guns you own to be itemized on 2009 tax return
I came accross this the other day and checked all of the links to verify this is in fact true, with that being said I have read on the posts what seemes to be at least a few people who enjoy hunting etc. thought you might want to know what is coming down the turnpike. If for any reason my posting this has offended you then send me a private message..

What a bunch of bull s#%*t !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those coward's have to do crap like this behind everyones back

Wildcat

I saw this same post in a recent e-mail. I have my doubts about its accuracy. Would not put it past them, but IMHO the NRA would spot this type of crap immediately and it would be all over the news.

Hopefull Romantic

I am with all of you on this one. Especially Nepas.

I wonder what will be next; how many times you make love, take a d..p or may be an Emelda Marcus Act: How many pairs of shoes over one do you own (tennis shoes and sandals not withstanding).

I am not as "think" as you "drunk" I am.

Not to worry, dbrown1....What offends me is the audacity of our own government/lawmakers who continuously tighten the noose around the freedoms that are abused by absolutely NObody that I know! Why don't they go after the lawbreakers instead of the law abiders?!?!? As long as these intolerant "tolerants" continue to pick away at our freedoms, I will worry little about offending those I find supporting such offense!  >:(

Although, as TT's post demonstrates, that particular email is old/outdated and obsolete, there ARE other such attempts that continue to try to strip us of our freedoms.....Note on Snopes: Many times have I personally found Snopes.com to be biased in their so-called investigative reporting on facts...enough so that I rarely use them for reliable fact-finding, rather for more of an "I wonder what Snopes' take is on THIS one!?!?". I usually go to TruthorFiction.com as a place to start when I get one of those type of forwards about something I know nothing about and find them to be more credible....here's what they have to say about something else we should be watching: HR45....http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/h/hr45.htm    Even though I'm a Snopes skeptic, I did like their more thorough findings on the same HR45 issue.... http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/blairholt.asp

As eluded to by Wildcat....the best defense to assaults on our freedoms relating to guns, is an NRA Life membership....I personally appreciate the fact that they frustrate/offend Harry Reid's ilk!!

I agree I don't put a lot of faith in snopes or the ilk, for that matter I put even less faith in our government nor should anyone no matter what side of the fence you may rest.. anyhow I just saw this thought I would pass it along and it has some links to the hr45 bill, my only reason for apologizing was due to the fact that this is a forum on food not the government, I make no apologies for my views however as I try and do as much research on whatever I can to stay informed.

Wildcat

No need to apologize. It is always nice to be informed of these kind of things. Over the years there has been a lot of bills introduced regarding guns. Luckily most of them just die off especially when right folks get involved.
