Love the smoker, have had it for about 2 months. We cold smoked some salmon (fabulous) and then started some ribs on the week-end. But the pucks were going through really fast and not being consumed...some were still cold in the middle. We are wondering if this was a problem created by the cold smoke. We tried to clean the carrier but it didn't seem to be that dirty....can someone help?? We must have gone through a box of pucks!!

There was a thread with a similar problem earlier today or yesterday. 10.5 ( one of our maters here on the forum) has come up with the thought that this problem is associated with cold smoke. After thinking about that and my cold smoking of cheese, I had to conquer with 10.5.

The heat that is generated by the generator may not be enough to burn the wood completely within the time allocated by Bradley's calculations (20 minutes) as apposed to the hot smoke where the tower temp would help raise the wood temp expediting the burning point of the wood and thus burning slower and closer to 20 minutes per piece.

I was to cold smoke cheese tonight but the temp here is in the lower 70s. I will try a "counter procedure" tomorrow night and will let you know the results.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Will be looking forward to any help you can give me...

Do you have an idea of how often the pucks are advancing ? I should be every 20 minutes or so.

Do they burn better if you hot-smoke ?

I would say about every 5 to 10 minutes - they advanced every 20 minutes like clockwork until we cold smoked. Then when we went back to hot smoking, the problem started...

It should be every 20 minutes no matter what smoking mode you are in.

I would call Bradley, their support is top shelf!

Welcome to the forum Irish.

I've found the bisquettes don't burn as completely during a cold smoke.  However, every 5-10 minutes is no good.  I'd do as FLBR suggested and give Bradley a call.
