Hi everyone,
At first glance lots of new faces...I don't remember my last post.  SORRY to all.
Anyway, my recoil pad seperated from the stalk last year.  Put the girl away in the safe for 10+ months, and now I have to get ready for rifle season.
Can anyone tell me a decent product or what would normally be used to adhere the pad to the stalk.
I have a serious kick-butt glue called Gorilla Glue.  I love it, BUT it is an expanding product that leaves all sorts of air bubbles and glue-snot to wipe or sand away.  I need your opinions on something that can be applied and then you don't have to baby sit it...it will just work.
I do not want residue left over on my stalk.  It's going to be enough work to sand down the old glue, but I really dont want to wreck the finish.
thanks in advance.

Hi WTF.  Do you have a picture?  I'm not a big fan of Gorilla Glue.  I doubt if epoxy would do it.  Maybe some kind of contact cement?

Hiya WTF, Alot of new faces here (including me) and just like you guys some pretty good people.

I am sorta a nite owl and I read a lot of the older post and really enjoy the conversations ya'll had.

I called my bro in law, he does reload, refinish, etc and he said a glue like a 3-m contact that you apply to both
sides and let air dry a few minutes then set together. I hope this helps. Hunting season is on us, get that gun fixed.

Come on back sometime and give us a cooking show.

I love gorillia glue but not on a gun for the reason you stated. I like Arnie & CRG's idea of a good contact cement.
