BBQ Pitmasters - Myron Mixon Loses $10,000 Prize Money

Not sad at all to see this....

However, during the first event, the "Smokin' In Mesquite" BBQ championship, Texas born Myron Mixon of Jack's Old South who was crowned Grand Champion of the event, subsequently lost the $10,000 dollar prize due to a technicality.

During Mixon's shoot while working his way towards winning the Smokin' In Mesquite championship, another group of his Jack's Old South BBQ team were taking part, unbeknown to the judges, at another BBQ event in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

As fate would have it, Myron's team happened to win that event also bringing his teams name to the forefront of the public's eye, and in doing so, the Kansas City Barbeque Society, learned of the infraction and urgently contacted him.
