I just happen to see Triple D, and Guy Fieri had a turkey leg brine that looked really good. He claimed on the show it has the taste of ham. It's one that I am looking forward to trying.

When I did my Thanksgiving turkey last year, I used Alton Brown's Turkey Brine....  and I chucked a couple of extra pterodactyl sized turkey legs in with the whole bird and brined them for the same amount of time.

The turkey turned out beautifully....  the brined legs got vac-sealed and stuck in the freezer to be smoked at a later date..... which will be fairly soon, since I have now given that freezer away and need to clear it out!  Thanks for reminding me!

I've got a buttermilk brine that is great for chicken wings...   I've used it on Turkey Legs once, but they were for someone else, so I didn't get to taste them.

I'll dig it up.
