Smoking in the Big Easy

Hi everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself.
I'm British, but I've been living in New Orleans for about a year (my wife is from here). One of our wedding gifts was a Bradley smoker, and I've been smoking (mainly brisket and short ribs) ever since.
Although this is my first post, I've been reading these forums for over a year, and I wanted to say a big thanks to everyone on here for posting their recipes, advice, and encouragement - almost everything I know about smoking meat comes from reading these pages.
Looking forward to contributing to the discussion, and hope to share some updates on my Superbowl short ribs that I'm currently preparing....
