My Sites Might BE DOWN FOR AWHILE--WE BEEN HACKED

It appears from the information we have that a php script we are using has been compromised and used to load files to my account that were then used to attack the server.

We are going be reviewing and updateing all php scripts on the account to ensure proper security levels are being met. During this time you may find my sites are down. In fact, they will be down during any upgrades etc. if in fact that is the problem. We first have to figure out how this little-prick got in. Looks like a busy weekend for us.



EDIT I'm locking  the OPEN POSTING board during this time, so no new information/ recipes will be lost. I have a  copy of everything currently there.

Well we have spent many hours and we cannot find where this little prick got in. In fact the only PHP program we have is supplied by the hosting service.... My posting boards are CGI, not PHP!

Me thinks it is time to be looking for a new home....

I've been given thought to purchasing  vBulletin for a posting board. When I do I will let the members know and posting on my current boards will stop... The boards are now open and recipes maybe added again.

This is my FAVORITE board "brand".  This a <u>VERY high volume </u>board and it is one the best running I have ever used.  I'm not on it like the BS board but this what I wished this board would use.  Especially like the email notification, one email for all responces, avatars,great private section.  We almost never have problems.  By the way I think it may be V.

It is vBulletin. From the two gaming sites that use it they tell me it worth the $150.00 to purchase and $30.00 per year for upgrades many times over.

Tray even thinks there is a conversation for my current data base. [:)]

This board is simpler, this is the other Q board I subscribe to.  We have very low volume but it seems to work well.  The admin guy nows his stuff, that by itself can keep alot of problems from not showing up, so in the real world I don't how well it runs.  When you look at it, you don't get the whole board unless you are member.
