Hey do you carry anything for beef steak?  Sometime I just like to grill a beef steak over my smaller radiant gas grill... you know how that is. The times when you're just too lazy to split the oak for grillin', and the gas is so much easier. [|)] I'm always looking for something different to try.
Thanks

Hi Olds,

I know Jeff is "Big" enough to speak for himself, but as an unsolicited testimonial, he carries two Dizzy Pig rubs that I really like a lot on grilled steak and beef: Cow Lick Steak Rub and the Red Eye Express. The latter has a coffee base which I was pretty leery of at first, but once I tried it I was a convert.  The other thing Jeff carries that I really like for grilling are small wood chips that I put in a small cast iron or ss box as I preheat the grill.  The chips are smoking by the time I put the meat on.  My favorite are the whisky chips, made from old bourbon barrels.

I'm sure you know this already, but you can link to his website at www.bbqshopping.com

I suspect Jeff will have his own ideas about what he likes on steak, too!

John,
Thanks for the good words[:D].  I could not have said it better myself.

Olds,
I really like the Cow Lick or the Red Eye on my steaks.  I've been trying some other rubs lately and just can't beat the flavors of either one.  I have a hard time deciding which one to use.  The SmokeMistress prefers the Red Eye but she's a coffee head at heart.  The whiskey chips are definitely good with beef but I like the flavor on chicken too.  I'm working on getting whiskey chunks as well[8D].  Let me know if I can be of service[:D].
