I am "new" to the forum.

I have a digital 6-rack.  I feel that it is under powered.  I've read some of your posts about having two 500w, a 900w heating elements and also a fan Kit.  I do not know where I can fine one or two fan kits.  I'm hoping that someone is able to help me out....

I am not sure which way to go with the set up for the heating elements. ???

CaptainKM let me be the 1ST to welcome you here aboard this great forum, for the fan kit you will find it there : http://linux105.mysite4now.net/johnt128/www/smoke/index.php?crn=229&rn=446&action=show_detail

and for the 2ND element, you're better go with a 2ND element than a 900 watt i think. You will find everything that you need except the fan there: http://www.yardandpool.com/Bradley-Smoker-Replacement-Parts-s/341.htm

Take a minute to check for the Bubba pucks a set of 3 would be great thing for you to buy at the same time than your element. You will find them there too.

Would I splice the second heat element into the original or would I need to get a second digital controller?

Here's a good step by step to add the second element. Additional Heating Element Modification

If you add the extra element, defiantly use a PID to control it. Auber PID

And welcome to the forum.

Well, I'm not an expert with the Digital cause i have an Original here, but what people say, it add the 2Nd element with an thermal fuse (a 2ND for the 2ND element) then controll it with a pid. Or, just wire the 2ND element with the 1ST and use your digital control it should be able to controll both. Here is the link for all the explanations that you need.   http://www.susanminor.org/forums/showthread.php?t=572
