Did a little surfing around the boards and didn't initially see the "How Clean is Clean" post on the digital board.  Seems I rubbed all the season off the inside of my smoker in a vain attempt to return it to shiny cleanliness (it said to clean but didnt' specify HOW clean).  It's a bear to get that burnt bisquette residue off the advancer though.  I know now to use the three Bubbas to push that last one into the water tray.  The V drip tray did clean up real nice with my Shark steamer; loosened a lot of that grease and stuff.  I think I left enough smoke on the inside, though, because that cabinet don't gleam any more like before the first smoke.  Am I supposed to leave ALL the smoke residue (minus grease splots) on the cabinet walls?  Rubbing that stuff of is HARD.

Yes. Leave all the smoke residue.

If it starts to flake off, I hit it with some crumpled up foil, you don't want it flaking onto your food.

After each smoke I clean:

V-tray
water bowl
racks/frogmats

about once a month (or so) I clean:

Vent
bottom tray
sg burner

About every 3 or 4 smokes I turn my smoke gen with the vents

facing down and kinda shake the loose wood out of it.
