My first smoker arrived!

Got my smoker today from Amazon. At first the pucks were not advancing at all. I called customer service and they had me open up the smoke generator and look for loose connectors - that's a first. But I was comfortable doing that, so ok. After looking twice, one connector wasn't properly connected to the wire (so the wire was loose from the connector). Pushed that in so it makes contact now, and all is good.

Seasoning the smoker now. Says to keep it at 150, but mine is sitting at 170 without any heat turned on at all. My vent is wide open. Hope things aren't "too hot" later.

Glad it was an easy fix. You gotta watch for the sun beating down on that black cabinet because it can heat things up in a hurry. I use a patio umbrella to give my OBS a little shade. Good luck!
