I am planning a party tomorrow for about 16 people.  I want to do ribs and chicken, but I don't have enough room to do it in 1 smoke in my DBS4 .

What do people do when doing multiple batches for such a party?  Do you do your ribs first batch and then cover them in a aluminum pan and throw em in the oven to keep warm?  or Chicken first?     I'm looking for some ideas ...  anyone? TIA

The thing to remember about the Bradley is that after the smoke time

it basically becomes an oven.

You can smoke your chicken for 2 hrs or so and while they are finish cooking in the oven

Tell us how much ribs and how much chicken you plan to cook and we can

probably help you with a plan.

you can smoke and cook your ribs or vice versa.

Since you plan to do a couple of loads, this may or may not apply, but remember, anytime you have chicken and ribs in at the same time, the ribs go up top.  It's good to have ribs drippin' on chicken, but not the other way around.

Thanks for the responses so far guys :)

Classicrockgriller:  I have about 8-9 pounds of ribs, and about 7 pounds of chicken to smoke..

oh, i may have over estimated ... probably closer to 7 pounds of ribs and 6 pounds of chicken legs..

I'd start the ribs early and than ftc.  Put the chicken on about 1.5 - 2hrs before dinner.  Finish them on the grill to crisp up the skin and finish cooking. I'd also probably end up getting drunk during the process and I'd probably over cook everything and/or start a grease fire. But, that's just me.

lol Stickydan!  I plan to stay off the booze --well.. maybe 1 beer today ;)

with some help from CRG, I have a game plan... hope to execute to perfection.. will try to post some pics later :)

If you are going to do chicken like Sticky Dan suggests and finish them on the grill you might want to wrap the chicken in bacon before going on smoker, then when you put it on the grill you will have to watch for flare up(happens alot until bacon gets crispy) but boy that is the best chicken I have had.
