Speed cure

Well, it's being used at the same rate.  Call and ask for the ingredients - if it is it will be 6.25% sodium nitrite, salt plus some dye and glycerin.
I like animals, they taste good!

It does look like a brand name for cure #1. When you find out the percentage of sodium nitrite let me know and I will add it to the list of other brand names.

Is it sodium NITRATE or NITRITE?
I would think speed cure would be nitrite. I think of nitrate as a slow time release product used in dry cure of sausages where the nitrate breaks down into nitrites.

Good catch. I wasn't reading that closely. Nitrates are considered a slow cure, and do not provide and protection until they are reduced to nitrites.

With the name speed cure, you may want to ask Mitch if he made an error while typing. That is a common error.
