i have about a 6 lb brisket point and flat. if i want to eat about 2 on sat afternoon any idea about what time to put in smoker.thanks

DTAggie

1.5 to 2 hrs per pound but leave yourself plenty of time.  Can always FTC for a few hours until ready to eat.

that sounds good, maybe i should add something to it to have a good overnight smoke. any suggestions. i have done these before but never had the time issues.thanks again.

try a basic rub on the meat... in the water cup try beer, or your favorite soda.

Throw a pork butt in there, cooks on the same time frame.  ;D
